KISS & COBO HALL: RICH KISStory

KISS have such an illustrious history, a love affair, with COBO HALL in Detroit. The legendary hall is scheduled for demoliton to make way for an expansion project. The 12,191 seat indoor arena played as a centerpiece in the 1999 film, Detroit Rock City, although Hamilton Arena in Hamilton, Ontario was actually used in the film. KISS recorded shows at COBO with some of the tracks that appearing on the groundbreaking album KISS ALIVE! The back cover of KISS ALIVE! shows the massive hall filled to the raftersBuilt in 1960, COBO HALL was KISS' first headlining experience in a big arena setting. KISS recorded and videotaped ANIMALIZED LIVE: UNCENSORED at COBO on December 8th, 1984 in front of a sell-out crowd.
COBO Hall is not the only arena sheduled for demoliton. The famed SPECTRUM in Philadelphia has also reached the same fate with a final performance by Pearl Jam on October 31 at the venue. KISS concert dates were a staple for the venue throughout the band's career with the show from the CRAZY NIGHTS tour professionally filmed there but never offically released. I wonder if a similar show for KISS at the Spectrum will follow suit in the vein of the COBO show?
That would be cool!
The KISS COBO Show is sure to sell-out in a matter of minutes.
